Swapan is a 20 year veteran in the Industry, he completed 8 years in Sun on June 2008. He started his career in Sun as Country Manager Sun Learning Services, after spending 2 years, he led the Education Sales for Asia South, in FY04 he took up the position as Head of Support Services and Learning Services Sales for India. In his last role as head of Support and Learning Services business, Swapan has propelled those business lines over 30% YoY growth. For many of us, Swapan has been synonymous with Support Services business. The pioneering work he has done around telesales in support, is a model others wanted to emulate. Our Learning Services business is today what it is, because of original work that Swapan has done in Learning Services all these years. In his Role as Director of Alliances and Developer Relations, He will be responsible for growing and strengthening the ISV relationships critical to Sun's success in India. His team will focus on growing Sun's revenue stream by strategically engaging global and Indian ISVs and by driving ISV solutions-led propositions. His charter will also to grow the Sun Developer relationships and Network. India already has a huge developer community of 650,000 developers supporting Sun vision of the Network Computing.
